The other day, I was cleaning my room up. I looked over in the corner, and started to debate whether or not to get rid of my old stereo. I thought about it for a moment, and decided to check what tapes and or cd's may be hiding inside those plastic walls. I found a tape with no writing on it. Interesting... so I moved it over to the smaller more manageable boom box type thing (check out that vocabulary~)
And I heard something that I had not heard in years, something that made me smile and cringe at the same time. SQUUUUEEEEAAAAL "Turn off the amp!! Turn off the amp!!" I recognized it immediately, ah yes... there, in my room, was the tape I used to make copies of Bright Spankin' Yellow's one and only album "The Ballad of Hootchiemaroo."
I listened to some of the songs, I prayed I play guitar better now. This was a nostalgic experience. I don't know if I shall share this... piece of history... with many people, though Marian will get a copy of it.
