The Future is the Past!
I rediscovered my portable CD player not too long ago.
...You guys, this thing is amazing!
I'm not even being sarcastic here, this thing is so great. It's water proof, shock resistant, has a strap to attach to my hand or belt, it seals shut when I close it and locks in place so it's really difficult to jar the disc loose, but best of all, I can switch the music I'm listening to at any point! All it requires is a couple of minutes to burn stuff to a CD and then I can listen to it whenver I want! I can turn any type of audio file into a CD and Boom! Variety is the spice of life.
I used it regularly throughout college and it's STILL going strong. I'm really not sure what made me stop using it and go with the MP3 player, but it's great not to be chained to that useless bit of technology anymore. Sorry MP3 player, you've been replaced by superior technology!
