Of Mel and Jake, and The Return of the Cold
Spent the weekend with one_vice and her husband, who are very cool and fun to hang out with. They gave us a stuffed monkey in a Yankees shirt called "Erik Skeeter" (ha ha) and a game called "Apples to Apples" which is not only fun and easy to play, but sick and twisted. Yes, my cold is back. Yesterday I thought it was a sinus infection because my face was squishy and tender, and kept myself loopy on Sudafed all day to no avail. Today it's a regular cold, and so I've switched primary care physicians to a better one than the crapo clinic I was going to that kept making me wait at least 2 hours whether or not I had an appointment. I'm going to the doctor today at 5:45 and demanding some antibiotics because I just can't seem to fully shake this thing, and Sudafed and DayQuil are doing absolutely nada for me.
On the bright side, I've finally hit the 10-lb mark in my weight loss, but I think it's a fluke and am not celebrating until a few days have passed and it's still gone.
