The Lightning Thief
So I finally got to see the movie version of The Lightning Thief, and I surprisingly liked it. I was worried after I read the book and heard about all the changes, but I really, really enjoyed the movie.
The changes made sense to me from a filming standpoint. Upping the characters' ages let them actually drive themselves cross country. And cutting out parts of the trip made the movie fit into a two-hour timeframe.
I missed Ares and his daughter, though. I would've liked to have seen both characters. Don't know why they were cut out since Ares was central to the plot in the book, but okay.
And, hey, Kevin McKidd makes a hot Poseidon. I'm just sayin'. What? I've had a small thing for him since Rome. Dude, don't judge. ;)
I may have to venture out and buy this movie. And I so need to read the rest of the series.
