Mayberry with Monsters Ramblings
No, that's not the actual title, but that's what I'm calling the YA until I do have an actual title.
Anyway, why do my opening chapters sound so choppy? I have a fleshed-out backstory, the beginnings of a magical world, and a plot. But the first few chapters of anything I wrote reads so choppy and dull. But I suppose that's the way I write a first draft. To those of you who seem to get it right on the first try, I applaud you. I, however, am not one of you.
In other news, after last night's SPN, I think I may have found Joey's face (he's the one character in this town who knows that something weird is going on). The kid who played Adam might be perfect. I'll have to find his name and look through a few pictures, but I have a good feeling.
Thirty-five minutes and I'm off to a metal show. Hope your weekend is eventful!
