I know...I'm posting this at 6:30 p.m. on a Saturday. No one is going to read them, but I'm proud of them anyway.:)

Nice

Nice. That’s usually how most women referred to him. He was sweet, unassuming, shy. Nathan’s quiet baby brother, the black sheep of the family. Wouldn’t hurt a fly.
“Oh, Peter Petrelli? He’s such a nice guy.”
Not anymore. Not after New York City blew up five years ago, and a war broke out. He fought alongside many other special people, desperately trying to make the world safe for everyone. His side lost.
Now he stays invisible, hidden from the rest of the world. He’s not a nice guy anymore. He’s not sure he wants to be ever again.
The Rollercoaster

She gasps as he slides into her, a quick pain, and then pleasure. The motion grows rhythmic and pulses out a primal beat to match the pound of her heart. The movement becomes faster. Her breathing almost stops altogether. Her back arches as she grips his arms. Faster. Faster. Her body tingles all over, pushed by the rush of energy through her limbs.
“Dean,” she breathes. “Dean.”
And then she explodes. Her head falls back as bliss fills every cell in her body. She crumbles onto the bed, barely able to move. Her eyes meet his greenish-hazel ones.
“Let’s do that again,” she grins.

Nathan stuffed his hands into his pockets, not quite sure if he should make the first move or not. God, he felt like he was in high school again. How embarrassing! He was almost a lawyer.
Heidi smiled. “Well,” she offered, “good night.”
Aw, hell, what was he waiting for? He took her face in his hands and touched her lips with his. Softly at first, then the intensity grew. Her supple lips parted to welcome him. He took the opportunity.
After a while, they parted. Nathan grinned, unable to stop himself, while Heidi blushed.
“Yeah,” he said. “Good night.”

She could have left. Simply turned her back and walked away. But looking into his soft brown eyes, she knew she couldn’t leave him. Now, rubbing her hands over her expanding belly, Janice thought about the choice she made to stay.
Matt could read minds. It was an ability he apparently inherited. Would their child inherit that ability? Would he or she be able to do something different? Or would he or she be normal like Janice?
Regardless of her fears, Janice had made her choice. And no matter what, their child would be loved and protected.
