the e-mail I sent to my mom and my sister vis-a-vis the Boston trip

As annoyed as I have been by my sister's weird control issues about my graduation trip -my trip, not hers - I am trying to understand where she might be coming from, and how that understanding might help me approach her, in a non-confrontational way, about how I want to plan the trip.  Not to be a stickler about it or anything, but really, if it's my trip, isn't it reasonable that I get to make most of the choices?

So here is the e-mail I sent to my sister and to my mom:

Dear Mom and Sister:

I was wondering if any reservations have been made yet?....because the more I think about it, the less - much, much less - that I want to stay outside of Boston.

There's just *so* much I want to do *in* Boston!  Why would I want to leave??  I cannot wait to get there, and there is just so, so, so much that I have to explore!

Here are some things I am dying to do:

1.)  Take the tour of John Adams' house in Quincy.
2.)  Do the Freedom Walk in Boston Commons.
3.)  Go see that big clipper ship, The Constitution.  Dad says the Navy still has this ship on their active ship registry, can you believe it?
4.)  Visit Bunker Hill and also Breed's Hill.
5.)  Visit Paul Revere's church in the North End - David suggests to go there around lunch time and eat some good Italian food (Sue confirms that this is a GREAT idea!) and then we should have dessert at this place called Mike's.
6.)  Go to "Cheers."  You can apparently eat lunch there.
7.)  Take a short trip (VERY short, according to Dad - about 40 minutes outside Boston) to Plymouth.  Oh my gosh I can't wait to explore Plymouth!  I have got to see those historical re-enactors!!!!  I hear they've got an entire 17th-century Pilgrim village all set up!!!
8.)  Possibly take another short day trip, to Salem.
9.)  Take pictures with the "Make Way for Ducklings" duck sculptures.  (Awww, how sweet that will be!)

And that's just what I have for now.  I'm sure there will be much, much, much more I'll want to do.

So really, why would I want to stay anywhere else?  There will be about a million and a half things to do in or near Boston.  I'd much rather stay put and soak it all in.

I think this is going to be a great trip!

So there you go, that's the e-mail I sent to my mom and my sister.

I have not yet had a reply back.  I can only imagine what it will be.
