diea"Look at your LJ interests list. If you have fewer than 50 interests, pick every fifth one. If you have between fifty and seventy-five interests, pick every seventh one. If you have over seventy-five interests, pick every tenth one. If you have fewer than ten, pick all of 'em. List them on your LJ, and tell everyone exactly what it is about these things that interests you so much."
Art nouveau
The flowing lines and beautiful slender shapes of this art movement appeals to me. Alphonse Maria Mucha is one of my favourite artists
Crossing Jordan
Yet another scientific, forensic drama, but with a twist or two in the plot. I love that the lead character is a woman. I love how dysfuntional she is. And the rest of the cast is great too. Especially Nigel, played by Steve Valentine. And not to forget the show's slashy and shippy potential. Also it inspired me to write my first ever fan-fic. Which unfortunately still is no-where near finished.
Douglas Adams
One of my all time favourite writers. Wrote the Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy, which is no so much sci-fi as it is satire. My view of the world wold be different if it wasn't for that book/those books.
Forgotten realms
A world based on an rpg, originally a platform for AD&D. Now a platform for a lot of novels. I haven't read all that many but I like the idea of this world that a lot of authors share, that you can recognise cities and countries in. And they can even borrow characters from each other.
incense
Love the smell of burning incense, and everything that has to do with incense.
leather
I adore the smell of it, the feel of it. If it were possible, I would wear leather all the time.
m*a*s*h
I think I've explained this one before, I'll just link to that entry, if I can find it.
Here is my long rambling answer to this. monty python
Some of the most brilliantly absurd comedy in existance. Plus Michael Palin and Eric Idle are cute.
poetry
I love reading and writing poetry. I have, since I was a kid. The first things I remember writing were poems, of a kind. My favourite poem ever is The Lady of Shalott by Lord Alfred Tennyson. I used to be able to recite it by heart.
Sandman
The wonderful character created by Neil Gaiman. The king of dreams, who has very little to do with the character in children's stories who sprinkles sand in your eyes to make you sleepy.
snowglobes
I love winter and I love snow. And there is something very magical about the miniature world inside a snowglobe.
the Dingles
They are my favourite family in the british soap Emmerdale. They're poor, they're sometimes criminal and generally thought of as second class citizens. But they stick together as a family. And they are very funny. My favourite Dingle is Cain, played by actor Jeff Hordley.
Vegetarian cooking
I like to cook veggie dishes a lot, even though I can no longer call myself a vegetarian.
This was a great meme, it made me think about the things I really am interested in, and which interests I ought to remove from my list. I think I reduced the list with about 15 things I am no longer exactly interested in.
