It's been longer than I thought since I posted here.
Or checked, apparently. I could swear none of these posts were here last time I looked. Maybe I wasn't logged in? I dunno.
So anyway, remember awhile ago when I said I even make fun of video games I really like? I... uh, kinda lied. I didn't know I lied, but I did. Because we are playing Persona 4 right now, and I love love love love love it to pieces. About halfway through, I realised that I wasn't making fun of the game at all. Oh, sure, I was making fun of some of the characters... in the same way I make fun of my coworkers, or family members.
This game is fucking amazing. I love the monsters in the Shin Megami Tensei games period. And the character development and plot have been fantastic all along. Rich is not allowed to play it when I'm not here, or at least not to do more than dungeon crawl. We debate about the mystery and talk about the characters and who should hook up with who. I LOVE Kanji to the point of squealing. I have begun unconsciously channeling Chie-chan. I'm all crying when people die. And again, when we replayed that scene because we got the bad ending and so we had to watch that part again to get to the branch point. I've given serious thought to what my own Persona would look like. I've... I've got it pretty bad now. I'm not sure what I'm going to do when the game ends.
