Ok we all know that I dont want to offend anyone, but, if I do then so be it... It cant be helped I guess... I have watched news reports, gotten emails out the ass, and heard a few others bitch to me about it (because they all know my view point on it)... This whole shit kit and caboodle about big retail companies setting it to where their employees say 'Happy Holidays' so not to offend their customers that do not associate 'the season' with 'Christ'... A few of the companies that are in the city I live in know exactly how much they have offended me and some others... After paying for a few items the other day the lil clerk(who I know from out and about and celebrates Christmas) says 'ohh you have a happy holiday season'... I just paused, rolled my eyes and cocked my head back toward her and told her. 'If you cant say have a Merry Christmas to me, dont say a damn word... Now if she did not believe or was of some other religion that doesnt do Christmas then I could completely understand her saying Happy holiday season... If I know for a fact, and yes I will ask before I say anything if I dont know you, that you do not believe in the same things I do nor celebrate the same thats fine, say Happy holidays... I have friends that yes I will tell them to have a happy holiday, happy yule tide, I mean whatever... I just dont think its right that the companies 'ban' christmas so to speak and expect the ones that do believe not to be offended...
Leave it to each person to say what they want to... Of course my daughter and I saw a pair of cute lil toe socks that had Merry Christmas with Santa on them... After my daughter goes ohh Mom they are cute, I respond with, If you are gonna ban them from saying it you should not be allowed to have anything in your store that makes reference to it...
OMG one huge home,hardware company is not even advertising Christmas trees... They are calling them 'Holiday Trees'.. WTF... Has anyone ever heard of a holiday tree farm????.. Fuck no its called a Christmas Tree farm!!!!!! I can see I might have to spend a lil more than previous years but I am thinking that lil Mom and Pop stores will get most of my business this year... And I will buy a Christmas tree from the Christmas tree farm but might be on the look out just to see if I happen to run across a Holiday tree farm, lol...
