It should always be this easy!
Tori and I went to the city last night. She received her Senior School Ball invitation during the week, so we decided to seriously look for a ball gown :)
There’s this little boutique in the city that we pass frequently when we’re up there, and for years she’s been saying that she’s going to get her ball gown from there, so I went straight there. Now, I wasn’t really expecting her to find anything, because it’s a little store and stores like that generally cater for the stick figures, which Tori definitely isn’t. Anyway, I was thinking I’d just get the store out of the way, so we can get on with some serious hunting.
The owner of the store was so helpful. She pulled out dresses that would not only fit Tori (she has a very broad back and it’s difficult to size), but would also compliment her figure. I think she tried on three or four gowns and then we went for a walk to consider the options.
We ended up going back and buying the first dress she tried on *g* It’s black and looks stunning! Pics will be posted when she goes to the ball :)
As a plus, she’s going to wear the shoes she wore to the river cruise last year, because they suit the gown perfectly, they’re in perfect condition and they’re comfortable. All that’s left to worry about is her jewellery.
I still can’t believe how quickly we found the perfect dress! Last year, when we were looking for a cocktail dress for her river cruise, it took weeks of hunting everywhere!
This afternoon we're heading to the football club. The season kicks off today!
