What a week!

I made enquiries about the lady who allegedly called the local schools about a bike she found at Maddy’s school on Tuesday morning. She did call! Unfortunately, the bike is not Mitch’s *sigh* This leaves us with a little problem… He turns 16 in two weeks and will be eligible to get his scooter license, so buying another bike now might be a complete waste of money, as he does want a scooter.

Much of my week has been filled with paperwork. I’ve never had such a hard time arranging insurance (and we’re not talking a small policy, because it’s for the business and the truck). It’s taken far longer than it should have, because people just don’t want to return phone calls! Anyway, I finally got it sort of sorted yesterday (after making a serious amount of calls) - just waiting on the final paperwork now.

Maddy’s school had their fete today. I didn’t go, because last time they held this event I went and Maddy abandoned me for her friends. She had fun, even though she spent much of the time serving on the stall her class was running - baked goods (that’s what filled what was left of yesterday - baking!).

And I’ve done something to my bad knee. It started aching yesterday, and I initially thought it was the weather upsetting it, because that’s been all over the place this past two weeks, but it got progressively worse, and then it passed the ‘weather ache’ and moved into all out pain. I decided to have a look at it late yesterday (I was busy with the baking and the insurance rubbish, so no time to pause earlier) and discovered that it was seriously swollen *pouts* I don’t remember twisting it or bumping it or anything.
