First day!
The first day of school was a grand success all around :)
Maddy had a great day. She’s got a male teacher on Mondays, and then her teacher from last year for the rest of the week. She actually likes the male teacher a lot (he was in the school last year teaching years 6 and 7) and he likes her, because she’s bright and he can have a joke with her.
Mitch had a good day and was actually quite talkative this afternoon, even if most of it consisted with what they were planning to do to their Flying Spanners teacher’s new car *rolls eyes* I gave birth to a grease monkey!
Tori was very happy this afternoon *yay* I was most worried about her (and I actually fretted for her during the day), but she had a lovely day and is excited to go back tomorrow. Her best friend, who is studying Maritime is actually in one of her manual arts classes, so she’s very happy with that! She has a very tough class schedule, including five periods of sport (netball). Friday’s are going to be tough for her, because she has to be on the netball court, ready to go by 7:25am *cringes* Her netball coach has mentioned a couple of big trips they have coming up: next term they’re off down south (some seven to eight hours away) for a carnival of sorts, and then next year they’re off to Singapore for a tournament O.o
It was impossibly humid today *melts* After school we headed to Mitch’s best friend’s house for a swim. It was so wonderful in the water! Us ladies have decided that we’re going to start swimming during the day when the kids are at school if it’s hot, rather than waiting for them to get home *grins*
We finally heard from the air conditioner installers this afternoon. They’re not coming until the 15th *pouts* I want my air conditioner now, damn it!
