Swimming is finished!
Today was the last day of swimming lessons! Mitch and Tori both passed their levels (6 and 7 respectively). Maddy didn't, but that wasn't a surprise given she was the only girl in the class and the feral boys kept swimming over the top of her *grr*
What we did find curious was that Tori's best friend's little brother was also in that class and he passed, yet he swims about the same as Maddy. His mum has just qualified to be a swimming instructor and she was shocked that his teacher had passed him (and not Maddy) - not that either of them should have passed. Maddy's not worried, because she's got swimming at school early in the semester. Tori's best friend's mum is also going to be the lifesaver at the school swimming carnival, so she's assured Maddy she'll be able to swim in the carnival despite not having the paperwork to prove she can swim, because she's seen her do the distance without a problem *g*
The weather has heated up again *smites it* Today it was 38.8C, tomorrow it's going to be hotter, and the weekend will be hotter still *dies* Thankfully, it's going to cool down from Monday, and it should be pleasant for the kids to go back to school on Wednesday :)
