[Dream]
Natsu stands in the clearing where Igneel should have been, waiting. But he's been waiting for hours, and still nothing, and then hours turn into days, and he realizes that he's alone. Igneel left him.
Igneel, as good a father as he ever had, left him. Forever. No family. No friends. No Nakama. Just the things that Igneel had taught him, and a dragon-scale scarf.
He presses the scarf into his face, breathing in the scent of dragon, but it doesn't help. He's alone.
He's on the train with Gray and Erza, and though he's barely conscious, he knows why he's there. It's because Lucy left. Left them. Left him.
She's family, he thinks. She can't leave. It isn't supposed to work this way- she's his Nakama. So he's going to get her back, no matter what he has to do. Because that's what he does. He fixes things. Even when he's not the one that broke them in the first place, or doesn't understand what's wrong.
And Lucy is there, smiling, hugging Happy and telling him she's not going to leave again, and he's so incredibly happy that he'd hug her, too, if he wasn't so angry with her for making him worry in the first place.
