Chapter Thirteen - The Unlucky Number Just Got Luckier
Maybe it was just Stockholm syndrome, Billy mused, watching Benjamin sleep through the morning. There was a time that he would never have imagined lying in the same bed with a willing Benjamin.
He used to force kisses out of the boy, as he felt cheated; he’d never had love, never had the innocence the boy had as he’d killed it himself: Raven Malice was proof enough for that.
Sunlight filtered through the tall windows of the chamber as the two lay in bed. Benji frowned in his sleep, fighting the consciousness that threatened to take him from his dreaming. He lost the battle, and opened his eyes, blinking blearily, before recognising Billy laying beside him and smiling softly, taking his hand to his lips and kissing each knuckle.
“I love you.” Benji murmured, shuffling closer to Billy’s body.
It could be Stockholm syndrome.
Or maybe, the unlucky one got lucky.
