Wow. I"m not actually fully sure where I stand on that. Generally, I"m pro-life. There are circumstances, however, that lead me to believe abortion is neccesary. Rape and deadly complications, mainly. Possibly others, like if the child won't be able to have decent quality of life, then perhaps abortion is neccesary. I don't mean if the child has Autism or something, though; my sister has a great quality of life, despite having Aspurger's Syndrome. She's generally quite happy.

The bill passed by a vote of 23 to 12 after opponents tried unsuccessfully to attach amendments that would have created exceptions for cases of rape and incest and that would have blocked spending of state money to defend against the court challenge that is sure to come.

That's the part I have a problem with. Allowances /have/ to be made; circumstances are not always going to 100% fit all the time. Then there's the single abortion clinic that's constantly under fire from pro-life extremists. People don't know everyone's circumstances for an abortion, but they still have the audacity to go out there and make them feel lower than shit? Granted, some people deserve it, but others are doing it out of neccesity. The fact that they have to fly doctors in to perform abortions is a huge red alarm that something is /very/ wrong there.

Anyway, that's my stand on this whole thing.
