Rude much?
I've had customers ask me for help at Ye Olde Grocery Store while I was off the clock but still wearing the vest. That's no big deal, how are they to know that I'm clocked out?
Right now, however, I'm off for several weeks due to medical reasons. Yes, I was shopping in the store where I work, but not wearing a vest. I was pushing a cart, actually, more using the cart for a walker due to the pain, and had Dragon with me to lift the heavy items in and out for me.
A lady that shops there quite often stopped me to ask where the stuffing was. I told her aisle two and start to walk on. From behind me I hear, "Excuse me! Can you show me?"
I looked around and said, "Ma'am, I'm off right now, but it's in aisle two, close to the flour, on the bottom two shelves."
"You work here! Can't you show me? I'm in a hurry!"
Dragon turned around and said, "Lady, my Mom's got days off! Are you deaf? She's sick and gonna have operation! Find your own stuff and stop being mean to her!" She turned and walked off in a huff, and I think he scared her. He IS thirteen and big for his age, but he IS special needs and most times just blurts out whatever he's thinking. I just couldn't scold him for it. LOL
When I got to the checkout, I found out she'd complained to a manager about me, who told her the same thing, that I was not working and was in a lot of pain. I don't think she's happy.
