Day 3 - Trying to be a good neighbor [Text]
Ominous messages from the inhabitants and grisly corpses aside, this place isn't too bad. It's a little frustrating without my magic, but a witch who relies exclusively on power and not her wits is not a witch worthwhile. Still, it would be nice to summon some elves and homunculi to help clean up. This place is still a mess...
Anyway, last night I found one of the monster carcasses which looked to be some kind of multi-coloured cow. It seemed in good shape and pretty fresh so I fixed a rather large stew with it.
Well, it's more like several pots of beef and some stale flour to thicken the broth since I couldn't find any vegetables, but I did add some seasonings so it shouldn't be too bad. It's protein at least, right? And it seems food is hard to come by here so if anyone wants any, you're more than welcome to it. I don't want it to go off and I found these nice little containers to distribute it in.
So... um... just say if you need any. It looks like a lot of people are going through rough spots with so many departures. Saying goodbye is difficult, but I think it's even harder when you don't have that opportunity.
I could really go for a cup of tea or cocoa right about now...
