why are midterms an 7 week deal?
from about the second week of the quarter until the second to last week of the quarter there are midterms. so confused.
so the break down of my midterms?
mostly positive!
second math midterm...umm....not okay with me.
but i got an A on the first one! so, they basically evened each other out. what i get on the final is basically my grade in the class. so i guess long hours at shields to avoid the draw of the internet would be a good idea.
drama, was actually quite funny.
took the midterm thinking "i hope this goes okay, cause i should have studied more"
only to find out that he wasn't going to grade it.
apparently while he was out of the room (for about 15 minutes. bad move on his part, but we are college students now. and it's a lower division drama class. c'mon.) people were "talking loudly and trading answers"
i was there while he was out of the room. it was damn quiet.
i finished early and left about a half hour into the test. apparently someone informed him about an hour after the test was going. and then at the very end with about 15 minutes left, he told the four remaining people to not even bother finishing 'cause he wouldn't be grading it anyway.
so...one of the other girls and i had no clue, and were pretty pissed when we found out that it wasn't being graded.
so we spent last wednesday talking for an hour about how we should be graded.
in the end he gave us all A's.
this took a while to get there though, because people insisted that this was rewarding cheaters.
which it isn't.
we have had no other scores in that class.
so basically we went from all of us having 0's to all of us having 100's
and he plans on curving the class.
so the whole hour of talking and fighting for some bizarre re-weighting of the grades was void cause it didn't freaking matter.
why do people go back and forth 300 times thinking something new will come of it?
other than that, two B+'s on my other midterms.
this is a waaaay better quarter than fall.
bwahahaha.
now i have a b-day gift!
