Personality: Easy Going ;; When other people look for their peace of mind, Iroh would be looking for his White Lotus Pai Sho piece. He has a sort of calming effect on people after he is around them enough because of the fact Iroh doesn't seem to truly care entirely about what is happening around him. He offers words of advice on how to calm down, or tea in order to help, He might seem like he doesn't know, nor care, about his surroundings, but he likely knows more than anyone.
Friendly ;; The man could make friends with the most stubborn, hot headed, short tempered, hateful person and turn them into someone who just had temper issues and visits his tea shop daily. Granted, this might not work on everyone, but the man is incredibly friendly and hospitable. The man would welcome an ex-con into his own home so long as he sensed the ability to rehabilitate said criminal.
Family oriented ;; The best way to explain this with the clearest understanding: Mess with his family and he will fuck. You. Up.
Responsible ;; He is likely the most responsible character of his entire cast. He may act like he avoids the more serious situations, but in reality, he takes the least stressful that will still work properly for him. He has learned that anger does not control firebending. He knew this even when he was allied with the fire nation in its entirety, having nearly taken Ba Sing Se.
Makes the Fire Nation look NICE ;; Him and Ursa. Just... They're kind people who don't fancy the war nearly as much as they did when they sided with the fire nation more than anything. Sadly, though, with how he treats family, which is kindly and with respect he feels all people deserve in general, going through life with a smile and care for what he is doing. Granted this wasn't as obvious the first time he visited Ba Sing Se for business, but when he finally took the Earth Nation city back, he had the intentions of doing it for the people.
Dryly good humoured ;; The man makes jokes that not everyone will be able to understand, but at the same time will be able to know is funny. Well, at least to laugh. He doesn't have the greatest stretch of jokes, especially not for those younger than him, but he is able to understand when a joke is told to him. Or perhaps even when a joke is awkward for the person telling it, ie with his nephew...
Abilities: Firebending: Is as easy as it sounds. He controls the fire as well as he can create it. He got his title 'The Dragon of the West' for a reason, after all. His signature move where actually breathes fire. His power is that to match the skills of the dragons. Firebending has often sharp yet fluid motions, like fire, and the more advanced are capable of create bluer, thus hotter, flames. Those more skilled still may prove capable of controlling lightning. Iroh is one of the very few firebenders who is capable of such a task.
Calming effect: This isn't so much a special ability as much as it is he's got old age on his side so he'll be able to calm you down with words and tea. While it seems more on the 'you're going to make me pop a blood vessel with worry, old man' side at time, he truly does improve that persons quality of life.
FANTASTIC tea: This and Pai Sho. If you don't think he'll dominate you, he will. If you don't know, he'll teach you the ways of the game so long as you ask politely.
