Draco held Mia's hand as they walked through the door. Back around the grounds of Hogswarts. Sometime around late summer which had to be odd in comparisons to the wintertime in the bar. School hasn't started up again so it was quiet. He also had his broom handy to fly them around. Mostly since he knew she wasn't used to side-by Apparition ( Read more... )

"It's just like we left it," she murmurs, forgetting for the moment that time would stop here for him.

Even if her world is his home now.

"I would think Hogsmeade has some celebrating to do now that the Wizarding World has seen a victory."

Draco nodded, "Well, not quite. There were more people still around when we left here." And actually time has passed in his world, since he agreed to move to hers.

"Probably. Likely to be going on for a while. Same with Diagon Alley. Much of the shops can reopen again." He then got on his broom, and gave her a hand to climb on behind him. Probably could see about getting her a nice one while they were here.

She holds a bit tight, but she's still tired from earlier.

"Good. I'd like to look around here."

Draco nodded and took to the air, "Just a short flight, luv." Likely noting her tiredness.

They soon arrived in Hogsmeade.

"One of our Wizarding villages. Honeydukes is right over here if you want to see some sweets? Have all kinds in there. Sugar Quills, Chocolate Frogs, Ice Mice. Just mind the Acid pops or Blood pops."

Mia looks around in awe, already enjoying her first proper visit to Earth.

"I would like some Chocolate Frogs," she says when she registers what he said. "I haven't had those in a long time, not since I first met Ginny."

And some sweets from Hogsmeade would be popular at the engagement party.

Not to mention a good addition for something else.

"And Sugar Quills and Ice Mice sound good too."

Draco lead her into the shop. There were only a few customers, and he got a mix of stares and glares. He drew away, even though some background mutterings started up, and it was obvious that he was the topic of conversation.

He ushered Mia to a quieter corner of the store, and pointed to some of the bins.

"Here, some of Drooble's Best Bubble gum, also Bernie Blott's Every Flavour Beans."

She leans closer to some of the bins.

"Every Flavour?"

Drace nodded, "Oh yes, they mean it. There's fruit flavours, cinnamon, but also grass, vomit, dirt... It's very random, and I usually don't bother. Fun to sneak to people though."

"We should take some home with us," she decides. "I can think of a few people at the Magic Guild who would have fun with these. The competitive sorts would love to make a game of them."

"Oh that should be fun. There were games like that at Hogswart too." Draco smiled, and reminded her of how the currency worked here, and what the price would be.

Mia starts picking out some purchases, including a good amount of Bertie Botts.

"I think these will be good for the party."

Draco nodded, and picked out some sugary floss and sugar quills as well.

"Counter's over here." Though he received an odd look from the witch behind the counter. Not exactly angry, but not exactly happy either. Like she wasn't sure how to react to him.

Mia tries to smooth that over with a kind smile to the witch as she put her items on the counter.

"Hello. You have a lovely shop here."

Surely the witch can look happy for Mia?

The witch did in fact smile back at that, an older woman really, "Oh, you're too kind, dearie, though I just work here." She then threw in some toffees and a pink square of coconut ice in the bag for free for Mia.

There was a brief surprised look toward Draco however, one that read, 'How did someone like you end up with someone like her?' Draco simply paid for his without a word, and then gently ushered Mia out of the store.

"But it is quite marvelous," Mia insists, paying for her sweets. "There isn't one like this at home."

She nods a little as she takes her bag, pleased, as Draco leads her out.

"I do hope we can make frequent trips to Honeydukes."

Draco blinked at that, "There isn't? You really mean that?" Granted he didn't recall seeing anything back there.

He then said, "Excuse me a moment." He then went back inside, and was there for a while. He finally came out.

"Well, have an appointment with the owner. Might be able to work out an exchange. Some of the shops in Diagon Alley might be interested in increased business as well."
