Films, a Meme, and Some Astrology
So I finally watched "Star Wars I: The Phantom Menace" today. Yes, yes; please save all remarks about how far behind the rest of the world I am. :P It was definitely an interesting film, and I'm looking forward to seeing episodes two and three. My favourite bit was spotting all the characters I know and love from the original trilogy, but watching the film definitely confirmed (so far, at least) that the prequels cannot live up to my love for the original episodes. Hence the proud use of my icon. *grin*
However, speaking of originals, Mum convinced me to watch the first episode of the original series of Miami Vice with her last Sunday. Not that it took much persuading, of course. ;) We watched the second episode tonight, along with Fi, and I am definitely going to be watching this every week if I can. After the first fifteen minutes or so of last week's episode, I knew it was a show I could really get into. I sense a definite weakness for shows from the '70s and '80s. *grin*
