Why is it that when you desperately need to get hold of someone on the phone, you can't get through to them? No matter how many times you dial the number?
And why is it that everyone and their relatives have their birthdays between the end of August and Christmas? I don't think I'm even halfway through them all yet, and I still haven't got presents sorted for ... any of them. Am hoping to go into town tomorrow lunchtime to have a browse round for some pressies. May need to borrow some money from Mummy-dearest, though, if I think I'm going to be in luck -- £15 and 5p is not going to buy ... a whole bloody sackful of presents. Unless people want penny sweets for their birthday. And Christmas.
Anyway, am looking forward to a lot of films, as my list dictates, especially now that I've seen the trailer for Deadwood. David Soul, Jack Davenport and Angus Deayton all in one darkly humorous film. What more could a gal want? I don't think I should answer that -- far too many obvious answers.
Ooh, have been watching many episodes of Pros, too, over the past two or so days. More than I should, granted, but still. Noticed an extra in one episode who plays Stan in Victoria Woods' "Dinner Ladies". I do so love this game. *grin*
Right, now that that cack-handed drivel of random crap is out of the way, I shall go back to dialling that number. You never know, I may be in luck. And pigs might fly.
