The joys of rambling ... sort of
So we're visiting grandparents tomorrow. Doomed, I tells ya; doomed. My second to last day of freedom and I'm going to be acting as the blissfully ignorant daughter who knows nothing of the rift between my Dad and his brother. *rolls eyes* In a way it helps, I guess, because they won't argue in front of us [my sister and I], and they have to be civil to each other, but still, you know? I know there's tension there, so I'm more aware of it and not sure of what to say half the time. Plus, most of the time I can't join in on Adult Conversations anyway because they discuss things I don't really know much about. You know, they'll trade opinions on latest news and political goings-on etc.
Anywho, hopefully I'll be feeling up to doing half the stuff on my To Do list tomorrow. I'm also hoping to take P's letter with me so I can finish off my reply. And I'm gonna try and do some early French revision tonight. Be proud of me! (If I actually succeed.)
And I've got some great news: Mum and Dad found a (sort of) frame for my beautiful print from keiltagh today when they went into town, so it's safely behind glass now, and just waiting to be hung up. So excited! And my Dad was actually talking to me about it when we'd finished putting it all together, discussing why it reminds him of Gundam Wing characters. I was floored!! He remembered (my unhealthy obsession with) Gundam Wing -- and enough to point out that keiltagh's art reminded him of it!
However, he thought it was fantastic, and so did my Mum's cousin when she dropped around. She even asked for the url of the art gallery so she could look properly later. They both saw the wolves, and I think everyone in the family saw some of the them and said they were all really good. So they were a big hit in this humble abode. :) We may be uncouth commoners, but we can appreciate art sometimes. ;)
Anyway, I'd better go and finish up. I'm the last one to bed again, so I need to sneak up soon so they can't accuse me of being too late tomorrow. *rolls eyes*
ETA: There was a Top Ten Guns 'n' Roses songs today, too! Slash's Skunk T-shirt made an appearance at Number 6 in the live video for Civil War. I am soinlove with Slash and Duff!! *dies*
