On Vox: Road Trip part 2
Heading east from the airport was slightly harrowing. News of a great ice storm was on the radio, ice was forming in various places, but it wasn't all that cold. As soon as we got out of the airport area though, it seemed better. We ended up stopping for lunch at Whattaburger. Of course, being as indecisive as I am and the fact that my friend Michael was driving a big Penske truck, we ended up parking at McDonalds and crossing traffic in the freezing rain by foot. So After a delightful to go order of burgers, we were back in the truck, soaking wet and cold.
Now, we just had to load the truck and get out of Dallas before the ice caught up with us.
