Day 56 & 57, day 4 & 5 of vacation
Yesterday and today were wonderful days, spent with my dear friend who always manages to bring an air of peace to my sometimes jumbled soul and mind.
Tuesday
1. Taking my dogs to the kennel where I know they are well taken care of and they always come away from happy. I love them but do need a break from them every now and then.
2. The ferry ride was beautiful as always. I love the one passage we go through, islands on either side with houses sparsely sprinkled on the rocky coastlines.
3. Hanging baskets lining the streets of downtown Victoria.
4. Tourists with cameras wrapped around their necks.
5. Wandering the gardens in front of the Empress Hotel. It is old and majestic that hotel with an appropriate name.
6. Seeing friend’s daughter’s new house, a wonderful quaint house in Oak Bay.
7. My friend’s back yard is a forest!!! I had forgot that little tidbit and it made me all sorts of happy to sit out on her deck and breath in the trees.
8. A late evening swim.
9. Walk back after the swim under the full moon. She was beautiful.
10. Drinking a nice fruity wine and laughing so much.
Wednesday
1. Sleeping in.
2. Drinking coffee on deck and staring at the trees.
3. Wandering among the trees.
4. In addition to a forest, there is very close by a marina. Walking out on the dock, I remembered the delicious feel of the salt water air in my nose.
5. Huge starfish
6. Moon jellyfish pulsing in the water. Gorgeous!!
7. Incredible murals all over a small town on the Island.
8. Curry for lunch!
9. Chat with candesgirl which always lifts my heart.
10. So frikkin’ EXCITED, because the Supernatural convention starts in two days and I get to meet my roomies tomorrow. Definitely looking forward to this and expect the next few days, if I have internet access, to be consumed with the convention and the pretty men. :)
