Happy meme - Day Eight
I missed posting this yesterday but will include both days happys, today and yesterday and they have both been good!!
1) I found out Friday that I will be working out of an office for about a month that is only a ten minute drive from my house as opposed to the normal 45 minute drive I usually have. That makes me all kinds of happy even though I will miss my Christmas lunch with my coffee buddies. There is another major dump of snow headed our way on Sunday and Monday so that will ease the driving treachery. (And on a bitching note, I live on the west coast of this country because it is the warmest place and because typically we have mild - read about freezing - temperatures and only get a few days of snow a year. This current weather is just wrong and I will blame the States for it because this is an Arctic blast from Alaska. Kinda fun to do that since I hear the "Blame Canada" South Park song often enough. Lol!)
2) A gift that I knew my dear friend candesgirl was searching for for her hubby, that another friend of mine located here, arrived at her home in plenty of time for Christmas. It was supposed to be a Christmas present and not opened until then (!!!) but she couldn't resist which actually makes me all kinds of happy especially since she posted two photos of him wearing the gift! Gloves just like Gene Hunt's - Lol!
3) Watched epi 4 of the Devil's Whore as well as the first two epis of Long Way down last night. Gotta love all the Simm action in the one and the Ewan real life stuff in the other. Two of my favorite actors. No - correction - my two favorite actors. Yummy! Both of those proved to be *cough* inspirational.
4) Finally finished and sent off a holiday fic that was due forever ago but will get posted before Christmas. *does happy dance at that accomplishment*
5) Wrote a drabble continuation for the Pervert's Corner holiday bash.
6) Have requested a story that I know will be all kinds of hot for the bash in #4 above.
7) Going to a Christmas open house tonight which should prove to be fun.
8) After panicking that I didn't have all my Christmas shopping done, realized that hey, I still have four days to finish it! I've decided not to push the panic away. :)
