Wildlife musings
Over the years since I got my own place, I've begun to notice the wildlife & what it can tell us. I feed the wild birds in my garden & normally they stuff themselves silly in the morning & then its on & off all day.
Usually, by the time I get home after work, there's just the odd one flitting about. But today? Oh no - there was queuing & squabbling by the goldfinches over the thistle seeds;(did you know that a flock of goldfinches is actually called a charm?)
All the ground feeding birds were hoovering up as if there was no tomorrow under the sunflower seeds & the greenfinches were stuffing themselves silly on the sunflower feeder.
Makes me wonder whether my
will be covered in a layer of snow in the morning!
