Arg. I want to play D&D very badly, and yet, I cannot. It seems that everyone's busy schedules continue to devour them whole, and thus I am consigned to playing merely once a month. My goal is to get everyone together at least twice a month, but so far scheduling has been difficult. At least the party is finally at the mouth of the dungeon, so when we do play next I can count on a lot of action that will advance the story significantly.

I am going to start auditing a night class in Japanese film at Clemson University starting tomorrow night, so expect future posts on the subject. I'm glad to be doing something with my surplus of spare time. Maybe I can even meet some fellow gamer types and get a local group together.

Last night I was talking with my girlfriend about this campaign setting she's been cooking up off and on, and I gotta say I really would enjoy playing in it. She wouldn't try running it until after the new PHBII hits the shelves next year, since druids factor into the setting heavily. In the meantime I'm sort of grooming her as an "apprentice dungeon master". She's got the imagination, I just want to impart the game knowledge she needs to make a great DM. So hopefully in about six months I can post about my experience as a player in addition to my own campaign recaps. Maybe I should start thinking about a character now...swordmage maybe?

'Til next time, folks.
