I just picked up the 4e FR campaign guide and DM's screen on my lunch break, and from the short perusal I managed before coming back to the office, both products look fantastic. The screen is made of a durable, glossy hardback material and full of all the handy charts you'd expect, plus the artwork is fantastic, featuring a menagerie of monsters sure to instill fear in any goup of PC's.
The campaign guide is wonderfully organized, with beautiful artwork and approximately 75-80% fluff content - in a good way. While the FR Player's Guide, coming out next month, is sure to have all the crunchy bits I long for, the campaign guide full of everything a DM needs to run the Realms: lore, artifacts, monsters, and more. The appearance of statblocks for famous NPC's such as Jarlaxle, Fzoul Chembryl, and Szass Tam was a fanboy win, but I was dissapointed to see fewer NPC stats than in previous FR products. Perhaps we'll find those in the Player's Guide.
In short, I give these products two thumbs up. So go, give Wizards of the Coast your money! Game designers gotta eat too!
Seriously, good stuff. Buy these books.
