7/23/12 drabble day 5: haze
Blonde hair and blue eyes hovered over him. He squinted through the haze, dimly feeling a throb of pain at his head. He tried to make out who it was, and why he couldn't remember what had happened. His mind was fuzzy, thoughts hazy and unfocused. He thought he heard, faint and unclear, a voice that strangely enough made him want to fight through the haze even harder, screaming his name.
As he fell into darkness, Connor remembered the name belonging to that face and that voice. Abby.
7/24/12 drabble day 6: flame
She looked at him, his body still on the hospital bed but for the faint rise and fall of his chest, and bit her lip. He'd been injured, and for one terrifying moment she was absolutely sure he was dying. That he was gone. She had been so sure, and so scared, in that moment.
The pain of loosing him was like a blow to her heart - no, it was more like flames burning her. She decided, when he woke, she would tell him how she felt about him. No time to spend on avoiding the subject. She was as sure as she had ever been to date, that she loved Connor Temple. He was a bright spark, a flame in the dark, for her.
Abby just hoped he would, in fact, wake.
