funny things happen in large proportions
ha ha ha...
so last nite a bunch of us went out to celebrate Jini's 21st birthday at the odeon. it started out normally enough....
angela wasn't home...and we were supposed to be at her place at 7:30. she had tried to get a hold of jini, but could not...so she finally called me and left me the message to not come over till later.
so i passed it on.
oh. and update on ian...he thinks that i was so smashed at the wedding that i don't remeber anything (well..i was smashed...but c'mon!). which sucks....becuase i DO remember....(how could i forget a kiss like that...?) so i suppose i should do some damage control. poopers.
so...jini and erin came over to my house. and we ended up going over angela's later on. but we had to pick up rina....so we went over there.
rina wasn't ready (go figure...we gave her maybe 20 minutes notice that she was coming). so we waited there til about 10-ish...and jini started feeling sick...like nauseous sick. how wonderful, eh?
not really.
THEN. we finally get to the odeon, it's around 10 at this point, so we all know that the odeon is going to be dead. AND IT WAS.
very boring.
fine, fine....so nothing too much happened there....
but meldrum and his buddies came out to the odeon....and for those who know meldrum, he's not exactly a stud...maybe cute in a geeky sort of fashion...but anyways.
one of the highlights of the night was when meldrum started makking-it with a girl on the dance floor! how funny!!!!! i had no idea he could be such a hoe. way to hoe out meldrum!!!!

so, jini didn't really drink because of the earlier nauseous feelngs...so she was cautious and had maybe a drink an hour...which sucked, cuz it was supposed to be her birthday and all....and the odeon didn't give out anything for her b=day either. so i don't think th odeon is the place anymore....
but anyways.
onto the next day....
this morning *day after the odeon* angela has to race in the dragonboat races (her boyfriend's in it). but they were short people (they need 20)...so guess who the new recruits were?????
yep.
me and jini.
i've never paddled in my life....let alone raced! so i had no idea what to do...but luckily neither did most people...
so we raced...it was the semi-finals....so awesome.
there we were in a boat-canoe in the middle of the saskatchewan river. the wind blowing against us...the river current super strong....and us...in a tight race for 1st....boat 1 was ahead by maybe 2 meteres, and boat 2 was neck to neck with us for 2nd, and the 4th boat was close behind....just before the finish line, we pull ahead in front of boat 2 to finish in 2nd place!!!
YAY!!!
it was so much fun. but my arms were so sore afterwards. and i kept smacking the person in front of me with my paddle. oops.
oh well. :P
