Keep holding on...
I haven't forgotten to blog or anything. Really, I haven't. Just been so busy working. I left the assisted living and started working full-time for the home health company. Was doing pretty good and making a decent amount of money. I mean, who can complain about making a little over a grand every two weeks. Then they lost a CNA, had me take on a second patient in W. Knoxville, and SOMEHOW, taking on that extra 28 hours cut my pay. So, now I'm working at least 60 hours a week and doing 2 - 3 overnights in Harriman and working for the woman in W. Knoxville seven days a week... Not much time for anything. :(
My car decided to spring forth an enormous oil leak on the way to Harriman on Sunday. I had to put 4 qts in it just to get back to Knoxville. We took it to Firestone where the hubby works and they found several leaks. It's supposed to be about an $1800 job to get it fixed. Luckily, since the hubby works there, we get a nice discount and they are only charging about $411. It's a big relief but still a big cut into the bank account as he still isn't working that much and, without a car, I have no way to get to work (unless people can take me or my parents lend us the Honda) and I don't get paid time off. Yeah, the home health place offers NO benefits whatsoever.
Bleh.
