It's only been like a year...
So, i guess it's been around a year since i last updated this beast. Neato. Let's start with me ranting on about the new shit in my life. Yay! This shall be in list format i suppose, seeing as i... well, i am OCD.
1. The animals. Oh dear, where to begin with that? I have added several since my last post... There's Persephone, the Nicaraguan Dwarf Boa, who's currently asleep in her log... Artemis, the corn snake, who is undoubtedly hiding in his little cave... My Chilean Rose Hair Tarantula, Johnathan Spiderling, who is more likely than not female... And of course two girlf friends for Freddy, my Madagascan Hissing Cockroach. I'm actually rather surprised at how my collection has grown, and how much money and time I have invested in keeping them well and content. I wonder where'd I'd be without my little ones, and I realize... I wouldn't be me without their company.
2. The boys. Honestly. So, austin and i decided to end things after around a year because of my religion. He said it gave him "a sick feeling" when I mentioned that i planned on participating in rituals this year to honor my gods and goddesses. We're still good friends, though... I guess that kinda is important. We have our horror movie nights, going to reptile shows, and cars.
And, yes, boys was meant to be plural. There's Richard in the picture now... Almost a fluke that he and i even met, and even more amazing that now that we're finally been able to meet in person. There's a long story behind it, and one that most people likely wouldn't believe anyway, so I won't relate it here (though i'm be happy to share if anyone's ever interested). But, for now, i'm single, as i can't quite commit to anyone at the moment because of distance.
3. The religion. Happily, I am still a druid, and rather proud of it. I recently underwent an exorcism, which cleared my mind quite alot (also a long story). With Richard i've been able to begin to piece connections to the divine together, and it feels a bit like i'm finding my path home in the process. I recently learned my patron dieties, and have crafted myself a staff from a branch of an Alder tree... Thus far i have been creating more connections between myself and the divine.
4. The school. I'll be graduating from BGSU this year. I'm amazed that four years could have passed so quickly, but, apparently it has. May 9th... Can't believe it's so soon. I'm checking into job opportunities for Bethesda Softworks in Maryland at the moment, as well as a few smaller animating firms in Dundee, and Detroit. I'm amazed, and terrified. I often look back at myself at the end of highschool, where i was then, and where i am now... The change has been dramatic, and very much needed. Damn. Here's the end, thank the gods for it!
