well id say that my first honors recital went well enough. certainly not without its errors (i fell out of sync with J-Ray a couple times and fumbled a piece of lyric towards the end of "Promises, Promises", and had laid a small hand to gently butchering some of the legato of "Se Tu Fossi" (of Cinema Paradiso). so i'll get some points hacked off for that, but the remaining part of the songs went pretty well. And now that im dont with all my immediate singing obligations, my voice is given leave to run off it it wishes.
that seems to be more or less the theme of today. things that are hard, come out alright, could be better, but thankfully werent worse. that applies to my precalc test (which im pissed about cuz i messed up on part of a problem that i really should have gotten right, i am very much the fool for it) and my physics test, which didnt go as badly as i had thought, though something about how i didnt really use the angle we were given for problem 2 tells me i did something rather wrong there (yay for violating the laws of physics!)
all of the work on my english crap i got back today was very good, almost entirely 100%, and yet i know that i wont do all that well in the class this term because i never really did get around to finishing that one project she assigned...
and Style afterschool was alright except for my voice feeling positively like shit, nearly throbbing and feeling a nice dry pain. having a sore throat when strep is roaming the halls might be a bad sign...
luckily my napping and tea drinking and general taking care of myself helped me out and i pulled through the recital (upon sitting down afterwards my head did feel so light and yet throbbing incredibly), but such things at the cost of homework (yet again i set myself up to fall)
oh, and as much as id like to say the Valeria Barbier completely sucked, unfortunately she didnt (well, she did out of principle, because no matter how she sings, she just cant overturn the suckiness of her own self). she actually sang in tune, hit her notes, and pain wasnt caused by her voice alone (Valeria + I Will Always Love You + Honors Recital = BAD COMBINATION)
but now i must study latin a big much. vocab and participles and subjunctives oh my!
