OMG, Two posts in ONE DAY!
So what are all the crazy things that have happened since February?
Well, as previously intimated, I got a house. She's a pretty thing, as old
as my grandmother, but remarkably good at hiding her age. Along with the
house came a roommate and two more cats. Learning to live with people again
is hard.
The cats are adorable, and all more or less get on alright. >.> The two
little boys play all the time, which is horrendously cute. They also both
have claws, which they're not fond of having trimmed. On a related note, my
arms bear quite a number more scars than they did before. I keep debating
if it's worth getting a leather armguard of some fashion for when I decide
to clip their fingernails.
A garden and an apple tree also came along with the house. The garden gave
me a number of tasty tomatos this year, and some garlic that the previous
owner had planted. The apple tree has bourne fruit, though my inattention
to pesticides has made this year's crop riddled with worms and larvae. The
herbs that I planted failed across the board. =\ Next year, I'll do better
all over. It'd be nice to approach self-sufficiency for my produce. I
wonder what else grows readily in clay soil...
Work's been a crazy rollercoaster of OT mixed with nothing to do. I still
like my coworkers and my boss. They still pay me for showing up and doing
stuff. It's a good compromise for the moment.
I finally drove through the two Neil Gaiman books of short stories that I've
been staring at occasionally for months. I'm told that the next book series
I should start is called Twilight. Iunno about it. It's about time for me
to put some time into investigating the close library branch, though.
I've also been sinking time into retooling Resistors into charms and chains
that are cute enough to wear. I'll post pics of those later for my own ego,
if nothing else.
I finally 70'd my warrior in WoW... and I've fallen in with a group of
people who are fun to run with when I either can't or won't run with my own
guild for something. The priest has more or less reached the pinnacle of
the attainable for her healset... though that'll swiftly change when the new
XPac comes out. I can't wait. :D
