This morning, work gave me the 401k enrollments forms for next year.
I'm apparently eligible, starting in January. This means two things
to me:
1. I've been working for them three months already. (Or nearly,
anyway.) Wow, time is so very non-linear.
2. I'm going to have to start caring what happens to the money markets.
Still. Yays and happiness -- It'll be nice to have money to buy a
loaf of bread or something when I retire. :D Better yet, they're
going to match me 6%, which seems amazingly high to my ear. Totally
putting 6% in.
Other stuff happening lately? Visited
pixipowder04 over the
weekend, where we played random games (Ever played Women Rules and Man
Laws? It's hilarious.) and watched movies (Pursuit of Happyness... so
cute) and just hung out. It was a great deal of fun. :D
Tonight, I need to work on cleaning my apartment. It's difficult to
think straight when my apartment is a mess... and it's difficult to
have a clean apartment when my head's a mess. I don't know why those
two are tied for me, but it happens. I want a CLEAN apartment and a
CLEAR head. A million dollars wouldn't be bad, either, I just haven't
figured out the trigger for that one yet.
I also need to send out the Christmas cards that are languishing in
the corner of my desk, sometime. There's still even time for them to
get through before Christmas is over!
Then again, Mother Nature's of the opinion that I should spend today
curled up, and it's really rather fruitless, trying to resist her.
We'll see when work's out.
