I Wish I Had Known

So it has been a while since I updated, so I guess I will.

Key West has no beaches. I found this out when searching for one. This was a big downer for mom and I who wanted to lie on the beach and read all day.
First day was a here is Key West tour. Mostly walking around sweating. We went to the Hemmingway house and I had pleasure in looking at the six toed cats. And I learned more about the author.
The next day was waking up early to drive to Bahai Honda Key for snorkeling. My snorkel kept getting water in it and I would have panic attacks when I breathed in water, but the first mate on the ship fixed it and David took me out to a shallow part of the reef. There were Tarpons as big as me. And Barracudas, Parrot Fish, and Angel Fish. I did not get time to go to the coolest place, where people saw sharks, but I had fun. When we got back to the island we went up on a bridge and saw the entire island. Then as we drove home we stopped at Big Pine Key which had Key deer. They say they were as big as a big dog, but I thought they were bigger than that when I saw them, but they still were miniature deer. Funny thing was we did not see any up close until we gave up and started driving home.
The last full day we visited Ripley’s Believe It or Not museum. Took us and hour and a half. That museum had a lot in it. Then we went to the Key West aquarium. I petted a nurse shark. Then mom and I walked around and shopped (what we do best). I love to souvenir shop.
We had to leave at 6 am to drive back to Miami for the plane. Key West is a good three hour drive from Miami because the speed limit never goes over 55.
Saw X Men 3 Friday night. It was too much in one movie, seemed they had to cram so much in that they lost any connection to the characters. And they kept killing them off. It raised an interesting question of ethics though. Would you cure a genetic disease if you could?
Now it is back to the grind of school and work. Overall I have enjoyed my summer vacation.

Adios~
