Movie review time....!
Spotted a must have at Best Buy last week end while taking my Mom around to look at refrigerators. An old horror movie from out of the 80's called C.H.U.D.
I remember loving this movie when I was a kid. It's low budget, with mediocre special effects, and one scene that doesn't make any sense at all. But the story was pretty darn good and there is a surprising number of unknown actors that later made a very good living for themselves. Such as John Goodman...who had a short part as a flirtatious but ill fated cop.
And...since tomorrow is the beginning of what I consider horror movie month...I began celebrating by watching the aforementioned movie. I left an open invitation to several friends, but only Jason showed. And we had a lovely time watching it.
And...as a general announcement, I will be putting on a showing of the directors cut of Le Pacte Des Loups (Brotherhood of the Wolf for we 'Merican folks) on thursday. All who are my friends are welcome to come over and enjoy one of the finest in horror films ever made. I would prefer to start at six o'clock, but am willing to wait until seven so those who don't get off work until six may join.
Be safe...and beware the creature under the bed....or in the closet.... :D
