August 24:
Found some recopies that are supposedly cheap that I want to try: Baked Turkey Empanadas, Turkey Oat Meatballs with Marinara Sauce, Bran Flax Veggie Muffins, Pulled Barbecue Chicken Sandwiches, Gluten-Free Black Bean Brownies, Fresh Vegetable Pizza (the not-so-hidden edition), Turkey Dumpling Soup, Curried Turkey Burgers (though, minus curry), The Hidden Vegetable Pizza.
September 07:
Finally have internet again. Went to stay at a family friend's house while the hurricane passed by. Originally, I was going to stay at my old apartment and get it all cleaned up until the end of August, then move into my new apartment. Didn't know there was a hurricane coming until Sunday, August 26th, so spent as much time as I could getting things cleaned up. Luckily, school was canceled Tuesday so I wouldn't have to go back to New Orleans. Wednesday afternoon, the rain was really coming down, causing the power to go out. The apartment was as clean as I could get it so loaded everything into my truck and headed to stay at a family friend's as I didn't have any hurricane supplies of my own. Sept. 1, I made my official move to New Orleans. I lacked internet until today as, finding out after being on the phone for four hours, the person who was supposed to connect my apartment at the pole two weeks ago never did.
September 08:
Ordered a new bed. I use to have an air bed that worked really well, but over time it held less and less air. Decided to get a real bed as I have been spending half an hour every night pumping up the air bed. Macy's was having a bed sale. Picked out a really nice $1000 bed for $300.
September 10:
My sister and mom spent a few days visiting. My sister was having a wedding shower.
September 14:
I'm really thinking about re-doing the gallery area of my website soon. I want to create a dynamically generated page. Basically I would like to create a directory, drop the images in, drop in the index page with only slight changes to it, then the page automatically create a grid type image display based on the number of images in the directory.
September 19:
Went hiking with a friend at Clark Creek State Park. The trail was only 2.6 miles. But it was a very rough trail and I haven't been that physical in a little while. Was a lot of fun though. Always love spending time outside.
September 20:
New bed should come in tomorrow. Bed frame arrived today. The package arrived all torn-up. A wheel for the frame is missing. It would have required a bit of money and waiting to get a replacement, so I just went to the hardware store and bought another wheel. Thanks Fed-Ex for taking care of my package.

I seem to be the only person that likes the Spock's Brain episode of Star Trek. I think you read my LJ Biker, what do you think about it? I know you like Star Trek.

I've been trying to get adjusted to my new bed but its just not really working out so far. I don't know if its too soft, too hard, if its my pillow, or if its me, but I just can't really get comfortable.

Had first test in my Mass Communications class. I think I did very well, expect that I know that I missed one answer.

Since moving into my apartment, I've noticed something. There is a guy that parks next to me who lives upstairs. Every hour or two, he comes down the stairs, spends five to ten minutes staring at his car, then goes back up. Not just staring at the car, inspecting it all over.

If I ever get a fursuit, I'm getting a large box Goldfish Crackers plushie made to go with it.

I could be studying today for a test coming up next week, but the only place I can really concentrate is the library, and its closed today. So, instead, I'm working on getting my back-up servers fully running and figuring out how I am going to re-do my website.

Had a weird dream about alien invasion. The aliens could go into people's minds and cause their eyes to gloss over. slapping them/causing pain would cause them to return ot nromal with a small spark shining fromt he eyue as the aliens diappeared. Another isgn that the person was being inhabited was that they had to be kept a certain amount of wet. After discoverting these things I started the resistance against them while at a convention. the people being inhabited would seem to acto normal. Another ssign would be that theu didn't have all of their memory. you could ask a quesion about something that happened a week ago and they would make up an answerl. The alien that was doing the conroling was headed to earth. Once arried though, he could be stopped as he relied on people believing on him to exist. (Meh.. don't fell like correcting the spelling mistakes)

Just got back from a random trip with friends to South Padre Island in Texas. On the last day we went to an area of the beach that was 50 feet from Mexico... could have swam across if it wasn't for the current.

I think I finally figured out what I will be doing for my Sociology report. I will be using the movie Stand and Deliver to show the 'effects of income on attitude towards education.'

Went on a trip to Chicago area for my sister's wedding. Wanted to go hiking on a free day but didn't find anyplace to go.

Christmas music in Wal-mart. It just won't stop!
Watching the Radio Flyer movie right now. I could listen to Tom Hanks narrate a movie all day.

Working on my research paper. Just found that one of my support articles isn't the kind that I need for my paper so I am freaking out trying to find another paper. I really wish I didn't have to take another Sociology class at this school.
