So, we went and watched Pacific Rim last night ( mostly to get the hell out of the heat in the house *shudders*). IT WAS SO GOOD. GO SEE IT NOW. I'm all in. Hell, we both want to go and watch it again, just to see parts we missed the first time around. Really, really good movie. Totally worth it.

So, Himself and I watched The Awakening last night. It was SO GOOD. It's a ghost movie, of course, but JFC how did this thing not get picked up in the states? We watched Total Recall and the first Expendables movie tonight. Total Recall was really good - if they hadn't called it Total Recall. I LOVED the distopian elements and the whole city-scape. I was zooming through the Hobbit again earlier today and as I was skipping through the credits I could have sworn I saw that Benedict Cumberbatch was listed in the credits. So I go to IMDb AND THERE HE IS.

So, we just sat down and watched The Impossible, with Ewan McGreggor and Naomi Watts.

We just finished watching Dredd with Karl Urban. It was good, if really, really, REALLY gory. Holy shit, people. The gore. It was a nicely gritty distopia and very well done. I liked it, despite the WTF gore aspect. Urban's Stallone impression was HILARIOUS at times, too. But all in all? Good film ( Read more... )
