The attack of the nerves!!
We've hit the single digit mark in the countdown to Poland. Being super nervous is one thing plus having a major argument with the person you will be spending 18 days together, meeting his family and traveling across the globe to an area where you will not be able to communicate with non-english speakers is a tad. bit. daunting.
Work has been insane, I was randomly on call 2 days this week and both days got called in. One time in the middle of the night to help with an emergency surgery and to help control the chaos that seemed to be babysitting neuro dog central. The next time was barely 7 hours after I had fallen asleep from leaving work just because they were THAT busy. Yes I work in ER but I am a shift worker, I am not a doctor or a specialty tech, I do not want to be working these kinds of shifts and did not sign up for this nonsense. Granted when I come back from my trip I think I have 2 days in a row of being on call but that's the nature of the schedule when you will be gone most of the month.
I am just glad to have almost 10 hours of overtime plus holiday pay for this pay period to help off set the costs of this trip. I may or may not have just bought a new purse and wallet online for the trip as well, for being a non girly type of girl I sure do buy lots of purses and wallets.....
