Dustin and I went to Palo Alto, CA last weekend to check out Stanford and visit his sister Kristen and her boyfriend Geoff. Kristen works at Omneuron, a biotech company that uses real-time MRI techniques to pinpoint the part of a person's brain that is registering pain. The information is then used for research and diagnostic purposes throughout the rest of the body. It's pretty crazy stuff. She scanned our brains for fun just before sending us off to the airport on Sunday.... THIS IS MY BRAIN :

And it's been decided...this brain is going to Stanford!! (Stacy and Kate : you were right, it was as easy as recognizing an instinct that all but punched me in the gut... deciding wasn't all that stressful after all. Big relief.)
