Here goes with the beginning of X posts....January 10th
Oh my sometimes I wonder how I ever got into teaching. Today in statistics we were calculating the mean, median on marks which is all fine and dandy, then we were calculating unweighted marks and weighted marks and assigning letter grades. Well for whatever reason I overlooked the VERY first row that had what each thing was out of. So when it came to calculating the weights of stuff I was all confused and saying to the guy next to me...how the hell did you come up with 91??? How do you know what the assignments were worth etc. and he kept trying to say well you add this and this and it gives you this and I'm like...but this is only 46 and this is only 43 meaning his mark is 89, but what I'm asking you is how do you know that the first assignment is worth 46 and so on. Until finally I looked up a little more and sigh....noticed. What a fool.....bloody fool I am. sigh. I also got in trouble for laughing and talking. Apparently the prof was trying to say something to the class but because I had my back to him (my computer happened to be on the back wall) I didn't realize till everybody was all

The joys the joys. Hmm what else can i say? Oh, it's bloody freakin cold here!!!!! -34 with windchill. ugh. This morning I was supposed to go swimming at 7:30 and meet Jamie there at that time. But when I got out to my car the doors were frozen shut. Soooo I was able to get the trunk open and one of the girls crawled in and kicked the door open from the inside. I did make it to the pool but didn't even get in the water till 7:50 and sigh realized I forgot my cap and goggles so all I did was kickboard on my stomach and back and then 8 laps of front crawl (jamie leant me her goggles)...all in all I did 32 laps in 25 min. Thats actually really good considering most of the time I was just using my legs. BUT, my leg hurts now, its like I pulled something.
Oh, AND!!!!! Today for school we had to park down the street at a different church because the regular parking lot that we use was holding a funeral service, so we had to park a few blocks away from the school. Anyways, I got out of my car and walked with this girl Brandy from my class. We finally make it inside the school and as I'm walking down the hallway the following conversation took place.
Me: OMG!!!! (as I'm looking down at my pant)
Brandy: What?!?!?!?
Me: Weird! I thought I was spilling my coffee on me because all of a sudden my leg felt like it was burning! (I had timmies in a tumbler)
Brandy: hahahaha
Me: What??? ....
Brandy: Thats just your skin unthawing...haven't you ever walked in from the cold and after a few minutes it felt like you've peed yourself????
Me: NOOOOOOOOOOO
Brandy: Hahaha
Me: Um....from the Okanagan here!!!!!
Brandy: Yup, I can tell!
Sigh, seriously ladies and gents....it really does feel like you've just pissed your pants after walking in -30 weather!
Now that I think about it though...it didn't quite feel like peeing my pants but more like my water breaking! Oh, guess it's the same sort of thing...nothing but warm warm fluids..lol.
