I experienced a first today. I had an interview with a woman who would like to offer me an internship at a development/government appropriations consulting firm (basically a glorified one-woman show), and she became the first person in this extensive job search of mine to tell me that she found my resume "very impressive." Granted she's not offering me a paid position, but it was so nice to finally talk to someone who didn't look at my master's degree and say, "What exactly did you want to do with that?"
