A&S / Collegium

The Arts & Sciences/Collegium event yesterday went quite well.  I took a class on early period hand stitching, and the class I taught on calligraphy was a success.  It lasted two hours, which surprised me.  I entered four pieces into the arts and sciences competition.
My latest Scroll:

Daniel d'Aurelle's Gold Scarf
Grifon de Radonvilliers' Cero e Luce
Bengta Rolfsdattir's Arts and Sciences Crown Choice

I won Populace Choice and Baron's Choice for the day.  Bethany is the Champion. I coudln't be happier for her. To me it wasn't about winning the judge's hearts; it was about showing people the work they don't ever get to see.  The idea that despite the fact that I won Populace choice, the Baron chose me as well, speaks volumes.  Winning Populace means so much more to me than the title of Champion.  I also had a brief conversation with Dutchess Caryn, who expressed how much she is impressed with the work I'm putting out. (insert blush here).

My class went smashingly;  I even had Their Royal Highnesses in there to learn how to sign their names.

So yeah, really good day.
