It's Getting Hot in Here...
Ok, I am so terrible at lab work. How am I sposed to do chemistry if I can't do the labs?
Today, we were heating copper sulfate pentahydrate in these lil crucible thingies so that we could heat off the water and then go weigh it. So, when it turned white and it was time to weigh it, I just picked it up off the flame. Unfortunately, being the special girl that I am, I forgot that when you heat objects for ohhhh 20 minutes they get hot. Wait, not hot... HOT. And so I dropped it on the table, spilling out some of the residue to be weighed. So, then I flipped out and picked up the container again to see if it broke... forgetting again that it was HOT.
So then while my partner wasn't looking, I tried to sweep the powder back into the container before weighing it. Needless to say, the results probably weren't quite right.
I swear, this summer is driving me insane. Not only am I near retarded (seriously, I picked up the hot container nealy 10 times today, no exaggeration and lit my partner's paper on fire) but this place has so few guys that even some of the ones in my chemistry class are starting to look good. I'll spare you the details, but I'll have you know I almost dropped the entire bottle of unknown sample just because I was distracted by my conversation with one silly guy...
And gosh darnit... where are the "desperate" or "dumb" mood icons when you need them? And I'll have you know, I only settled for flirty because I thought anyone reading this would find it amusing that it looks like a scene from Lolita!
