Oh my oh my-it's vacation! yay! hehe...spent the first part of it college visiting. The second half will be rehearsals and stuff. Yup yup.

So colleges...I kinda just need to sort out in my head what I like and don't like and stuff. Don't read it, it will bore you. But anyway...

The places I looked this week were:

Hamilton: No. It is in the middle of nowhere. If you drive two minutes down the road from the campus, you will see cow farms. No thank you. (-)
Syracuse: I liked it. The campus is pretty and Syracuse is a pretty big city that would probably keep me entertained. Really good theater program-they work with Syracsue Stage (a professional theater group) and have a sweet study abroad thing specifically for theater majors in either London or NYC. Down side would be the extreme cold and snow that there would be... (+)
Ithaca: On the smaller side, but I liked it. Ithaca is a cute town, and even though it's not a city it's very "collegetown"-ish cuz of the two schools there. Good theater program again...too bad they take like 12 people for musical theater out of the 650 that audition. Yeah. But if I could get in, it would be totally amazing to go. They hav3e some really impressive alumni too (Example-The girl who played Nessa in Wicked) (+)
Cornell: Can't get in. The end. Only  My mom thinks I can, but she's crazy. But, it's really really pretty, and HUGE. My mom's theory is that it's a "safety school among the Ivy leagues" so it's easier to get in to than some of the others, so I have a shot getting in especially cuz theater isn't their big thing. I don't buy it haha. So yeah, can't get in, reason we went was cuz it's like five mintues from Ithaca College, not planning on applying. (-)
Skidmore: Small. But the campus was pretty, and Saratoga Springs is cute. Plus, the theater program seems good, but it's not audition based, and I'll need a couple of those since it'll be way hard to get into some of the really good programs that require auditions. Overall I liked it, but I dunno if I wanna go that small. (+/-)

Other places I've looked into:

NYU: I love the idea of going to school in New York City. The campus is in a really good location, and is all like spread out, not closed off like most campuses. It's huge so it might be kinda hard to be noticed, but the theater program is relatively small (they usually have an incoming class of like 60...out of 1000 muscial theater applicants-not very good odds once again) I've also heard that people in the program are really competative and not friendly haha, but I'll have to try to find out more about that. But right now, I really like NYU. (+)
BU: I really like that it's in Boston, cuz I really want a city and not a lot of schools with really good theater programs are in cities. Mmmm...yah, good theater program, good school...I really like it as of right now. (+)
Clark: I dunno why, but I just didn't like it. Couldn't really give you a reason though. (-)
Brandeis: Of course I had to look here since my dad works there. But no, they have a pretty good theater program, and it's not audtioned based, which I need to apply to some of those obviously, and it's not too far from Boston, it's a good school, and a huge part of my tuition would be covered cuz my dad works there haha. (+)
Carnegie Mellon: Haven't actually seen the campus, just went to an info session at some hotel near here, so I can't say much other than amazing theater program that's really hard to get in to. But I need to see the school and get a better feel for it I think. (+/-)

Oh man, that was longer than I planned. And now I'm sleepy. Comedy goes up wicked soon (**come see it, I have to sell 30 tickets**)...AP history exam is way soon (May 5) SATs are way soon (May 6) and Cotillion is May 6 too. Oh my. The year is almost over!! Which is both very good and exciting and very sad. Hehe. Ok bed time now! Night!!
