Forgetting Who We Are

I have always been intensely spiritual. Maybe that's the "holier than thou" that I've heard in my life more than once. Yes. I'm holy. But not holier than thou - because you are holy too. Everyone I meet is a reflection of the Divine. Everyone is holy. Maybe I'm sucking at communicating that part of the equation.

If I am not communicating that clearly, I'm not as connected to the Divine as I believed. Because I believe that to be connected is to give power, give love, not to take. Accept when given, yes, but not to take. Okay, it's a journey, a process, and every day is another day to do it better than the day before.

I am no holier than anyone else...ever. Even those folks we term "evil" come from a holy source, therefore they are holy.

This is not a "love and light" place. My eyes are open. But so is my heart. And, yes, bad things happen to good people. And sometimes, love is tough. Being a bitch (babe in total control here) doesn't make me less holy. That's the lesson of studying the various god/goddess pantheons. The Divine has many faces and each of us is a reflection of ALL of them. Mind-blowing.
